Recently, we were proud to host the Chester NC Junior Tournament at Whitby High School. Our U8 and U9 teams competed in High 5 netball, enjoying the chance to show off their enthusiasm for the sport. Our U10s and U11s competed in 7 aside netball, displaying their hard-earned skills against other talented players.
Well done to all the young netballers who played their very best netball and many congratulations go to Oldham, winners of both the U11 and U9 sections and to Kingsway Power who were the runners up in each age group.
The afternoon event for U8 and U10 was unfortunately cancelled after only an hour of play. Whilst light rain had been forecast as a possibility, no one present could have anticipated the thunder and lightning nor the near biblical levels of rainfall that we experienced all coupled with giant hail stones which brought the afternoon tournament to a sudden halt.
